Should it really be that hard to see short subject Oscar winners and nominees?
The 2002 Oscars had a number of short documentary and animated films that I was interested in seeing. In particular,I thought that "Thoth", "Murder On A Sunday Morning" and "50% Grey" looked promising. I managed to download "50% Grey" from ifilm. "Murder On A Sunday Morning" ran on HBO. I still haven't found a way to see "Thoth".
At least one film society runs a reel of short subject Oscar candidates, The Peachtree Film Society in Atlanta. Finding additional venues that do a similar presentation has proved google-proof up to this point.
Any pointers to "Thoth" or Oscar short film nights closer to Ann Arbor, MI would be appreciated.
