Hramblings: Kholrabi time

The cool thing in this week's CSA box was a lone but very welcome
kholrabi. An interesting looking veggie to say the least. Resembles something that a space alien would be munching on. Look for them at the farmers maket

how do you cook a kohlrabi, or is best just admired from a distance?

I like to peel them, slice them thin and eat them raw. They have a mild and a little sweet flavor with a nice crunch. And they're fun to look at.
