Hramblings: Poet e e cummings born today, 1894

Cummings was notable for his layout, neologism, grammer and typographical choices; but even more so for his ability to break these rules and still evoke deep emotion. In his poem, Anyone lived in a pretty how town for example, the lines "he sang his didn't he danced his did" and "they sowed their isn't they reaped their same" create remarkably clear images of humility and disconnectedness, resp.
