Hrecommended: Numb3rs on CBS

Sadly, much of TV is schlock. Not true of CBS' crime drama, Numb3rs. On some level, it's an attempt to capitalize on the success of CSI, but eschews fancy graphics for chalk boards. In a recent epsiode, Sniper Zero, there was a very nice inside joke. In addition to the normal cast, they had an FBI counter-sniper played by Lou Diamond Phillips named Agent Edgerton. This was a very nice reference to high speed photographer Harold Edgerton. One of his signature pieces is a sidelong look at a 30 caliber bullet going though an apple.
