Hramblings: A Harvard Dean on Slowing Down

I've been reading In Praise of Slowness by Carl Honore. I almost skipped the chapter titled "The Unhurried Child". Had I done so, I would have missed his mention of a letter that went out to all the freshman students at Harvard. The letter encapsulates the difference between getting a degree from Harvard and getting an education from Harvard. Many of the suggestions work no matter what stage of life you're in.
