Hrecommended: Netflix...good

Comcast raised the rates for HBO again and this time it hit the point, both psychic and financial, where paying $20 a month for Netflix was reasonable. Netflix is an online DVD rental website that has a lot of advantages. First and foremost, they have an excellent selection of the movies I'm most likely to want to watch, i.e. new releases, documentaries, older Oscar winners, anime. Second, they have a very responsive shipping department. Returning a movie from Ann Arbor takes two days and generally a new movie from the queue ships out the same day. If the replacement comes from the Lansing, MI depot, I can have the new movie the next day. Finally, they have a lot of duplicates for each title which means that your number 1,2 and 3 choices are likely to be the movies that are sent. Out of 70 movies, only a handful were listed with a wait.

They have a two week trial. That's enough time to get three movies, watch them and get another three. If you cancel, there's a week to get the disks back.
