Hramblings: Sephora and Apple stores to open at Briarwood

According to the Ann Arbor News, Briarwood will be getting a Sephora store with construction to begin in May. Sephora is a high-end cosmetics retailer that carries both men's and women's lines. In addition, we will be getting an Apple store with a TBD open date. These seem like two good additions.

Still not much in the way of restaurants at Briarwood. California Pizza Kitchen remains a recommendation, but you can only eat so much pizza. What's it gonna take to get another destination food outlet? Instead things are pushed to the mall apron and beyond. Ultimately its not clear what lease economics are in play at Briarwood that force mid-price food outlets out and fill the aisles with increasingly creepy kiosks.
